Glossary
The terms you'll meet around the app, in plain English.
- Percentile
- Where you sit compared to the group. 70th percentile means you're ahead of about 70 out of 100 players in this test.
- Bell curve
- A picture of how the whole group scored. Most players land in the fat middle; the far edges are the few who are well above or below average. Your line shows where you fall.
- Standard deviation (SD)
- How spread out the group's scores are. A bigger number means players are more different from each other; a smaller number means most are bunched together.
- Training load
- How hard your training was, worked out as how tough it felt multiplied by how many minutes you did. Higher means a bigger day on the body.
- ACWR (load spike)
- Your recent workload compared to your normal. Around 1 means this week matches your usual. Well above ~1.5 means a sharp spike — a common time to pick up niggles, so it's worth easing off.
- PHV
- Peak Height Velocity — the point when you grow the fastest in your teens. Knowing where you are helps coaches train you safely and fairly against others who may have matured earlier or later.
- Maturation
- How far along you are in your physical growth compared to your age. Two players the same age can be at very different stages — this helps compare you fairly.
- RPE
- Rate of Perceived Exertion — how hard a session felt to you, usually on a 1–10 scale. 1 is very easy, 10 is maximal.
