For athletes using IDPlans
about 4 min to read
IDPlans is where your training, your feedback and your development plan live. Most days you'll spend under a minute in it. That minute is what makes everything your coach sees about your training accurate.
1.Getting in the first time
- 1
Open your invite email
Your club sends you a link to set your own password. Nobody else knows it — not your coach, not the club.
- 2
Add it to your phone
Open idplans.app in your phone's browser and add it to your home screen. It then behaves like an app, and check-ins take seconds.
- 3
Turn on notifications
Optional, but it's the difference between remembering and not. You can switch them off any time in Settings.
Open /my-idp/settings →
2.Your daily check-in
This is the one habit that matters. It asks how you slept, how sore you are, how you're feeling — the questions your club chose. It takes about 20 seconds.
- 1
Open Today
Everything for the day is on one screen: your check-in, what's on, and anything your coach has sent you.
Open /my-idp/today → - 2
Answer honestly
This is not a test and there are no right answers. A hard, honest 3 is far more useful to your coach than a polite 5.
- 3
Mark where you're sore
If your club uses the body map, tap the exact spot. Patterns across a squad show a coach when a session was too heavy on one muscle group.
Your coach sees your answers. That's the point — it's how they adjust training. They can't see anything you haven't entered.
3.Around a session
- 1
Before — priming
A couple of quick questions on how ready you feel. Takes seconds and gives context to how the session goes.
- 2
After — RPE and reflection
Rate how hard it was from 0 to 10 and add a note if you want. RPE times minutes is what produces your training load.
- 3
Why it matters
Load is what shows whether you're building fitness safely or spiking into injury risk. It's only as good as your ratings.
4.Seeing your progress
- 1
Calendar
What's coming up, and — when your coach shares it — what each session is about.
Open /my-idp/calendar → - 2
Progress
Test scores, wellness trends and goals over time. Tap any ? for a plain-language explanation of what a number means.
Open /my-idp/progress → - 3
Reports
When a coach publishes a report, the top shows your few key focus areas. Read those first — they're the things to actually work on.
- 4
Your goals
Goals you and your coach set appear with the steps to reach them. Mark them achieved as you go.
5.Your privacy
Your coaching staff at your club can see your check-ins, test results and reports. Other players cannot. Other clubs cannot.
- 1
If you're under 16
A parent or guardian may have access to your published reports, depending on your club's setup.
- 2
Getting your data
You can ask your club for a copy of everything held about you, and they can produce it in a couple of clicks.
